I came around this contest lately and today I almost stepped on a dead bee on my balcony floor.Well I'd usually never get that close to any creature that could possibly sting so I tried to get the little hairs in focus^^ I haven't joined any dA contests in years and I'm sure the dead bee wouldn't mind^^
about this photo: shot with reverse lens and a homemade stabilizer (which looks even more ridiculous than you can imagine) Image was only adjusted to square and wasn't edited in any other way.
Well theres only one problem-there needs to be an accurate exif data to join the contest- how on earth should I figure out the focal length of a reverse lens shot???? So there is none-I hope that's alright in this case.... ° ° ° ° ° (c) Lea Henning 2008 - All rights reserved - My images may not be reproduced in any form without my expressed, written permission.

Thank you!! well I don't expect myself to be among the first three- the're already some impressive entries that definately deserve to win and even if I do good I'd give away the supscription anyways. But oh well-it's already a pleasure to be accepted. Time to make some noise about this contest- because the judges are the perfect choice and the prices make you drool (...) gonna make a journal 'bout it
Ohgosh, I read about the contest and decided to have a look at the entries so far to see if I would vaguely stand a chance. This is really beautiful and is making me change my mind about entering xD I just love the white fuzz around the bee, and the colour scheme looks great, not to mention the detail considering the size of the bee is amazing! Nice job!
Great one Oh, by the way, there's no problem with the reverser, it happens the same to me. The lenses use the maximum aperture, f3.5 on a canon ef-s 18-55mm and about the length, as long as i know (i'm not really sure) the length is the same normal or reversed but since the camera has no reading the best is to remember what you set
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
