...please read this first
Well-he is labelled as an expressionist although I wouldn't sign that.
In an odd way he is very,very realistic.To me,at least.
wiki sais: (Otto Dix 1891 –1969)was a german painter and printmaker noted for his ruthless and harshly realistic depictions of Weimar society and of the brutality of war.(...))
This man was another milestone on my way into art in general.Which will probably surprise you but it's as true as can be.Along with Edvard Munch he influenced me the most-and I still remember staring and staring at his work at a very young age for hours and hours and...how deeply moving and depressing it was.
Let me say 'macabre'-so macabre that he could give you more than just some bad dreams.
I later discovered Pink Floyd's movie 'the wall' which kinda...made it all clear to me as pink is living Otto Dix's nightmare and the nightmares of war in general.
There's no proof for his influence to the movie BUT let me just say I got the point and I'm more than sure about it.
Dix was also a big influence to Marilyn Manson's artwork (the paintings) which honestly didn't surprise me at all.But nice to know that I was right with my first idea after looking at mansons paintings.
There's a lot more to say about Dix so just read about him and his work here [link] if you feel like it.
The following works were hard to pick for me,most of the ones I love from Dix's book are nowhere to be found online.Sorry for not looking hard enough for every original title...And my sister has the book of Dix so...^^anyways

This is the second journal of this kind as you might have noticed-I started up with 3 pieces of Edvard Munch and I will return to him with at least one more journal with more of his work but it's gonna be some other day.
Just btw-that was it.There's no other historical painter or artist as precious as these two are for me,never has been,never will be.
Note that I wrote 'historical' so no offense to you artists out there nowadays.

The following monumental works by Edvard Munch made me discover this thing called 'art'.
Without this man I wouldn't be creating.
This is the very essence of artwork that didn't just leave an impression on me but made me love what I do.
I cried when my mum bought me a book with all of his works and I still keep it like a treasure for over 15 years now -there will never be anything as meaningful to me as these images.

yes...thats what I did today.
I thought this might not be the greatest idea ever but...
I stood there praying;let the lightning crash upon my f**ing head!
So it didn't happen anyways...Like it always does.
And I kinda made the decision to get my first tattoo,on my neck.
(Yes...it's so not original but who gives a shit)
Because I finally found a sweet shop with friendly people who didn't send me home right away.+
It's gonna look great I hope.
